Aston Villa and Tottenham are clashing at Villa Park in round 32 of the English Premier League. Aston Villa is a better team than their current record states, and they should have a good game at home here. Tottenham is now on a 3-game winning streak, and they are back in the Champions League race.
Aston Villa has lost their last 3 games in a row, they have conceded 5 goals during that streak, while they have scored only 2 goals. The injury list is quite long for Aston Villa, but I think they have enough depth to replace those players and to still have a good game. Watkins has 8 goals to his name so far this season, and he is the leading goalscorer for this team. Ramsey has added 6 goals. Danny Ings has 5 assists. The schedule is getting easier for Aston Villa, not by much but still. With 36 points, Aston Villa is now in 11th place, and I don’t think they will get much higher this season. I think Aston Villa is improving, they are moving in the right direction, and I think they will be better next season.
Tottenham has been on fire lately, they are on a 3-game winning streak while winning 4 of their last 5 games. During this 3-game winning streak, Tottenham has scored 10 goals, but their defense is still inconsistent and sloppy. Son is still the leading goalscorer for Tottenham with 14 goals, while Kane has added 12 goals and 7 assists. There aren’t any notable injuries in Tottenham right now. As I’ve mentioned, Tottenham is back into the Champions League race, they are now one of the best offensive teams in the league, and they deserve to qualify. With their offense pretty much sorted out, Tottenham has to focus on the defense, and knowing Conte, they will. I think with Conte taking charge of Tottenham, Harry Kane has finally gotten his groove back, and this club will be built around him for next season, but as of right now, they need to focus on the EPL and qualifying for the Champions League.
I think this will be a very fun game, and two good teams but in opposite situations. Aston Villa can score, especially at home, but their defense is not doing well. Tottenham is o fire right now, and there is no way they don’t score here. I see goals on both sides.
