Atletico Madrid vs. Getafe 2/12/22 LaLiga Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Atletico Madrid is hosting Getafe at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in round 24 of the Spanish LaLiga. Atletico is still struggling massively this season, and after that loss to Barcelona last week, the situation is not good. Getafe is not scoring a lot, especially on the road, and I’m not sure they have what it takes to win this game.

Atletico has only 1 win in their last 5 games, and that loss to Barcelona last week was especially hurtful. Atletico got ahead early in that game, but then they disappeared. Even after this streak, Atletico is in the top 5, in 5^th place with 36 points, but their defense has been terrible so far with 30 conceded goals. Offensively, Atletico has done better with 38 scored goals. Atletico is basically the same team they were last season, but something is not working out. Griezmann, Wass, and Gimenez are all injured. Suarez and Correa are leading goalscorers for Atletico with 8 goals each. There is a lot of talent in Atletico, on both ends, but as I’ve mentioned, something is just not working out, and they need to make some changes as soon as possible.

Surprisingly enough, Getafe has lost only 1 of their last 6 games, while they haven’t lost any of their last 3 games. At home, Getafe is scoring a lot more, and they are playing a lot better, while on the road, Getafe has scored only 3 goals in 11 games. Unal is the leading goalscorer for Getafe with 9 goals, but apart from him, there is no one else who can score consistently. Alena and Olivera are both injured. Getafe is outside the relegation zone right now, in 15^th place with 25 points, 20 scored goals, and 23 conceded goals. After this game against Atletico, the schedule is getting a bit easier, and I think Getafe could expect some points in the future. As I’ve mentioned, Getafe is outside the relegation zone now, but only by 7 points, and I think they are overperforming now. It will be the tough second half of the season for Getafe.

Not only Getafe is not scoring on the road, but they are also still without a win on the road so far this season. when playing at home, Atletico hasn’t lost to Getafe in their last 11 games, and I don’t think they will lose here. I’m siding with Atletico in this one.
