Union is a good team, and they have started Bundesliga well, but they lost their Conference League match earlier this week.

Borussia has been impressive during their 3-game winning streak, and they have scored 9 goals during that streak, but their defense hasn’t been performing that well. Borussia Dortmund has conceded at least 1 goal in their last 6 games, and they are not looking well. With 9 points, Borussia is now in 4^th place, and they have scored 13 goals so far. Haaland is the leading goalscorer for Borussia Dortmund with 5 goals and 4 assists. Borussia Dortmund was also playing in the Champions League earlier this week, and they have won that game 1-2. Offensively, Borussia is a firepower, they have a lot of quality and depth, and that is a good thing because their defense is not looking well. With the Champions League off next week, Borussia will have some time to try and fix their defense, at least by a little bit.

Union hasn’t lost a game so far in Bundesliga, but they have won only 1 game so far. Union Berlin is in 8^th place with 7 points, 5 scored goals, and 4 conceded goals. In their Conference League game against Slavia Prague, Union was a huge underdog, and that’s how they played. Union has had only 30% of ball possession, 1 shot on goal, 3 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and only 68% of the correct passes. Union Berlin has had a positive result until the 84^th minute when they conceded a goal, and then another goal in the 88^th minute. Union Berlin has lost this game 3-1. In Bundesliga, Awoniyi is the leading goalscorer with 3 goals, while Giesselmann added 2 goals. The last season was fantastic for Union Berlin, and for the first time they have qualified for one of the European competitions, but I don’t think they have the depth to play in both Bundesliga and Conference League. I’m afraid Union Berlin will need to make a decision here and focus on Bundesliga and try to make the most of it.

When playing at home, Borussia hasn’t lost to Union in their last 4 games. Dortmund is a much better team here in the attacking end, they have more depth and more quality, and they are in better form at the moment. I will take Borussia at home.
