Bosnia & Herzegovina is hosting Finland at Bilino Polje in Group D of the UEFA World Cup Qualifications. Bosnia has been quite decent in these qualifications so far, and even though they are in 4th place, they still have a solid chance of qualifying. Finland is in 3rd place with now with 8 points, but same as Bosnia, their chances are still solid.

Bosnia is undefeated in their last 5 games, but they have won only 2 of those 5 games. During that streak, Bosnia has scored 7 goals, they have conceded 4 goals, but they were able to keep 2 clean sheets. In their last game against Ukraine, Bosnia was solid with 45% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 3 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 85% of the correct passes. After losing since the 15th minute, Bosnia was attacking, and it paid off. Bosnia has scored a goal in the 77th minute, and the final score was 1-1. Pjanic and Prevljak are the leading goalscorers for Bosnia with 2 goals each, but I think Dzeko will be the key in this game as he is playing in excellent form. As I’ve mentioned, Bosnia’s chances to qualify are solid, but they need a win in this game.

Finland is playing hot and cold in these qualifications, but seeing how this woe group is weird, Finland is in 3rd pace with 8 points, 7 scored goals, and 7 conceded goals. In their last game against Kazakhstan on the road, Finland has had 62% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and 81% of the correct passes. This was one of the few games where Finland could dominate, and they did. With 1 scored goal in each half, Finland has won this game 0-2. Of the 7 goals Finland has scored, Pukki has scored 6, and this is just another proof that Finland doesn’t have the quality or the depth, and the offensive variety. It will take a lot from Finland to qualify for the World Cup, and they are not just dependant on themselves, but with a bit of luck, anything could happen.

Bosnia has always beaten Finland at home, and I think they will in this game as well. Finland is constantly improving, but I don’t think they will get a positive result in this game.
