Brazil and Germany are clashing at Nissan Stadium in Round 1 of Group D in the Olympics 2021 soccer tournament. Brazil is a strong team led by Richarlison, Dani Alves, and Malcom, and they are one of the favorites to win this tournament. Germany is also a strong team led by Kruse and Arnold, and they are surrounded by plenty of talent.

As I’ve mentioned, Brazil is a strong team, and they have won this tournament in 2016 against Germany as well, but it was after the penalty shootout. That Brazilian team has had Neymar and Jesus in their roster, and these two players will be hard to replace. Just a few days ago, Brazil has played a friendly game against the United Arab Emirates, and they have won that match 5-2, which only shows how prepared and good this team is. Honestly, I’m a bit surprised to see Richarlison in this team because the EPL starts just a few days after the Olympics will be done, but him being here will only make this tournament better. According to the bookmakers, Brazil is the second favorite to win this tournament, just behind Spain. And while Brazil is solid in the attacking end and midfield, their defense could be a problem if they are put under pressure. I think Brazil will advance past the group stage, but we will see who they will go against in the next stage and if they will be playing well enough to be competitive.

As I’ve mentioned above, Germany has lost to Brazil in the 2016 Olympics in the finals, but that was a good game, and the penalty shootout is the lottery. That German team has had Brandt, Bender, Gnabry, and Sule in their roster, and their team in this tournament is nowhere near as good as that one was, at least on paper. All of the German players are playing in Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, and that is one of the strongest leagues in the world which means these players are experienced and have plenty of big games in their feet. Germany is only the sixth favorite to win this tournament, but I’m confident they will advance past the group stage here, and everything is possible afterward. Germany has two great and experienced players in Arnold and Kruse, and they will certainly be the leaders of this team, but Ache, Amiri, Maier, Uduokhai are bright young stars that will certainly have an impact in this tournament.

There is plenty of offense between these two teams, and I don’t think we will see much defense in this game. These two teams will most likely win the top two spots in this group, but I think this game could go either way. I’m taking the goals in this one.
