Brentford vs. Brighton 10/14/22 EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Brentford and Brighton face off on Friday in an English Premier League showdown at Gtech Community Stadium. When these two teams faced off on July 26th it was Brentford that secured the 1-0 victory. 

Brighton comes into this game sitting in seventh place in the standings having picked up 14 points. Brighton faced off against Tottenham in the last game and the offense couldn’t get on the board and which led to the 1-0 defeat. Brighton had 59 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Two games ago against Liverpool, Brighton scored three goals, and they were able to secure the 3-3 draw. Enock Mwepu has been forced to retire from football after it was found that he has a heart condition. Jakub Moder is also dealing with a knee injury and won’t be able to go in this game. 

On the other side of this matchup is Brentford who sits in 11th place in the standings having picked up 10 points. Brentford has been inconsistent this season, and they are coming off a bad loss in their last game. Brentford’s defense was terrible against Newcastle, giving up five goals, and that led to the defeat. Ivan Toney did score a goal by a penalty kick in the 54th minute, but it wasn’t enough with how bad the defense was. Pontus Jansson, Christian Norgaard, and Keane Lewis-Potter are all dealing with injuries and won’t be able to go in this game. Ethan Pinnock returned from injury in the last game, but he struggled, and they need him to be better here. 

Brentford has played better at home this season and I think they will find success again here. Brighton scored zero goals in the last game, and they are going to struggle to score again in this game.
