Brighton is hosting Liverpool at American Express Community Stadium in round 29 of the English Premier League. Brighton has been playing well this season overall, but they are now on a 4-game losing streak, and they don’t look good. Liverpool on the other hand is on a huge winning streak, and even though they have lost in the Champions League to Inter earlier this week, they have advanced to the next stage.

As I’ve mentioned, Brighton has lost their last 4 games in a row, but they are still away from the relegation zone, in 13th place with 33 points. Brighton might not be scoring a lot, only 26 goals in 27 games, but their defense has been great with 32 conceded goals. After this game, Brighton is playing against Tottenham at home, and considering Tottenham’s form, they could win some points in that game. Maupay has scored 8 goals for Brighton so far this season. Sarmiento and Mwepu are injured, while Webster is still questionable. The good news for Brighton is they have pretty much secured their spot in the first half of the season, but they definitely need to improve their overall form.

Until that Champions League game against Inter earlier this week, Liverpool was on a massive winning streak, but they were struggling with scoring goals in their last few games. In that Champions League game, Liverpool has also had an extra player on the field after Inter conceded a red card, and they still weren’t able to score a goal. In the EPL, Liverpool is in 2nd place with 63 points, which is 6 points less than Manchester City, but there are a lot of games left this season for Liverpool to get to the top. Offensively, Liverpool is the best team in the league with 71 scored goals, while their defense is also among the best with 20 conceded goals. Salah is the leading goalscorer for Liverpool with 19 goals and 10 assists, but he failed to score in his last 3 games, and I doubt that will continue for much longer. Jota and Mane have each scored 12 goals, while Alexander Arnold has added 11 assists. There is a tough game against Arsenal coming up for Liverpool, but with the form they are in, they don’t need to be scared against any team.

Brighton hasn’t won any of their last 4 home games in a row, while Liverpool is on a 4-game winning streak on the road. Liverpool is the better team here, in much better form, and I see them getting another win here.
