Canada has some high expectations heading into this Gold Cup, but they are coming off a disappointing loss in the last game. Two games against Panama, Canada was able to secure the 2-0 victory. In the CONCACAF Nationals League Final game against the United States, Canada was defeated 2-0. They gave up two goals in the last 34 minutes, and that led to the defeat. Canada had 64 percent of the possession and four shots on target, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Even though Canada has high expectations for this tournament, they are missing some key players. Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David, Cyle Larin, and Tajon Buchanan all have been left off the squad for this tournament. Dayne St. Clair is expected to be in goal in this game, and they are going to need him to have a big game and a big tournament. 

Guadeloupe Betting Preview

Guadeloupe had a couple of tune up games heading into this one, and they looked impressive against some lesser competition. Two games ago against Antiqua and Barbuda, they were able to secure the 5-0 victory, and in the last game Guyana they were defeated 2-0. The first goal scored was an own goal and Andrew Gravillion also scored in the 57th minute. This game is a much bigger competition though, and the defense is going to need to step up big game. Meddy Lina has made 21 international appearances for Guadeloupe and he’s going to need to play a big role in this game. Davy Rouyard has posted back to back clean sheets in goal, and he needs to really step up here.

Canada is sitting a lot of big hitters in this game, and their offense is going to really struggle. Rouyard is also going to step up and really make life tough on the Canadien offense. Their defense however is going to step up, and Guadeloupe might not even finish with one shot on goal. There won’t be more than one goal scored total here, and the under 1.5 goals is going to cash.
