Celta Vigo is welcoming Barcelona to Municipal de Balaidos in round 13 of the Spanish LaLiga. Celta is not playing well this season, on either end and honestly, I expected a lot more from them. Barcelona is finally winning games, but they haven’t scored more than 1 goal in a while.

Celta Vigo is in low 16th place with 11 points, ad they have scored only 10 goals while conceding 14 goals. In their last 5 games, Celta has only 1 win, and that was the only game where they scored a goal. In their last game against Rayo Vallecano, Celta has had 47% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, and only 67% of the correct passes. Neither team was doing well offensively, and this game has ended in a 0-0 draw. Santi Mina has been the best player for Celta so far this season with 4 goals and 2 assists. Celta has to do something to turn this season around, and they better do it fast because they will once again be stuck fighting to stay out of the relegation.

Well, it happened, Xavi is coming home as the new head coach for Barcelona. Earlier this week, Barcelona was playing against Dynamo Kyiv on the road in the Champions League, and they got a 0-1 win, and that has gotten them to 2nd place of that group. As far as LaLiga goes, Barcelona is now in really low 9th place with 16 points, 16 scored goals, and 12 conceded goals. The injury list is a huge problem for Barcelona right now, and Braithwaite, Pedri, Wague, Roberto, Dest, Pique, Dembele, Neto, and Aguero are all on the injury list. In their last LaLiga game, Barcelona was hosting Deportivo Alaves, and despite having 79% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 9 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and a high 91% of the correct passes, Barcelona has scored only 1 goal, but they have also conceded a goal. The final score of this match was 1-1. Barcelona didn’t look so terrible in a long time, but I think that Xavi will fix that because he knows Barcelona’s style, he knows what they need, and I think he is the right man for this job.

Barcelona is still winless on the road, but I think this win in the Champions League, and with Xavi arriving in Barcelona, I think they will finally start playing like we know they can. I’m taking Barcelona and the goals in this one.
