Chelsea and Leeds United face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Stamford Bridge. When these two teams faced off in March of 2021 the two teams played to a 0-0 draw. 

Chelsea currently sits in 3rd place in the standings having picked up 33 points. After such a fast start to the season, Chelsea hasn’t been as dominant as of late. In the last game against West Ham, the defense had their worst game of the season giving up three goals and that led to the loss by a goal. Chelsea has leaned on their defense all season, but the last game they had some real issues. Chelsea has scored 35 goals while their defense has given up nine goals total. Mason Mount has been the top player for Chelsea scoring five goals and adding four assists. 

On the other side of this matchup is Leeds United who sit in 15th place in the standings having picked up 16 points. . Leeds United has been a bit inconsistent but they have picked up at least a point in each of the last three games. In the last against Brentford, Leeds United put up two goals and that led to the draw. Leeds has scored 15 goals total while their defense has given up 22 goals total. The best player this season for Leeds United has been Raphael Dias Belloli who has scored six goals and added another assist. 

Chelsea’s defense hasn’t been as strong the last few games, and it’s going to be an issue again in this game. Leeds United has a defense that has also been an issue all year. I like both teams to score and the over 2.5 to cash.
