Egypt and Spain are facing off in round 1 of Group C in the Olympics 2021 soccer tournament. Egypt has missed the last Olympics, but they have been quite successful in the 2012 Olympics. The Spanish Olympic team looks impressive, and they are the biggest favorites to win this tournament.

This Egypt team is contained most of the players from the Egyptian national league, and they have a very low expectation in this tournament. Originally, Salah was supposed to play in the Olympics, but Liverpool wasn’t willing to risk an injury. In the 2012 Olympics, Egypt has advanced past the group stage, but they got knocked out by Japan in the next stage. There aren’t any well-known players in this Egyptian team, but with a little bit of luck, Egypt could advance past the group stage, but it will be really hard. I really can’t say much about this team, but I’m sure they will give their best to represent their country with honor in this tournament.

Spain is a really good team in this tournament, starting with Asensio, Rafa Mir, Pedri, Olmo, Ceballos, Ozarzabal, Mingueza, Torres, and Unai Simon on goal. As I’ve said, Spain is a fantastic team, and they are the biggest favorites to win this tournament. Just a few days ago, Spain was playing against Japan in a friendly match, and that game has ended in a 1-1 draw. in the 2012 Olympics, Spain wasn’t playing well, and they haven’t even advanced past the group stage. Some of these Spanish players have had a fantastic Euro Cup just a few weeks ago, and Pedri was voted the best young player of the tournament, but we are yet to see if they can handle the pressure without the senior leadership of this team, and without coach Enrique. Defensively, Spain is solid in this tournament with Pau Torres being in charge of their defense, their midfield will be fantastic with Pedri and Olmo, but their offense is a bit thin with only Asensio and Mir, but they are both great players that can decide a game with one move. Spain has a great roster, but they haven’t had a lot of time to prepare for this tournament, and that could be an issue for them.

These two teams have never met in the past, and they will most likely never again have this roster. As I said, Spain is the favorite to win the tournament, and they are big favorites in this match. I will take Spain to start this tournament with a nice win.
