Everton and Brighton face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Goodison Park. When these two teams last faced off in August of 2021 it was Everton that came away with the 2-0 victory.

Everton currently sits in 15th place in the standings having picked up only 19 points. Everton has had a lot of close games this season that really could have gone either way. In the last game against Chelsea, Everton looked good but they still gave up a goal and that led to the 1-1 draw. Everton has scored 21 goals total while their defense has given up 29 goals. Demarari Gray has been the top player for Everton scoring five goals and adding two assists. Andros Townsend has scored three goals and added two assists.

On the other side of this matchup is Brighton who sits in 10th place in the standings having picked up 24 points. Over the last two games Brighton has picked up four points, including picking up one point against Chelsea in the last game. It was Danny Welbeck who scored a goal in the 91st minute to secure the draw. Brighton has scored 17 goals total while their defense has given up 18 goals. Neal Maupay has been the top player for Brighton scoring seven goals. There are four different players that have scored at least two goals.

Brighton looked good in the last game against Chelsea, and they are going to find defensive success again in this game. Look for Brighton to also find the back of the net once or twice,  and that will be enough to come away with the victory. Back Brighton on the money line.
