Everton Betting Preview
For most of the season, Everton looked like they were going to be relegated but a strike in the last game by Abdoulaye Doucoure was enough to secure the victory and save their Premier Leagues life. Each of the last two years they have played with fire, and they hope this is the year they can take the step forward. Everton didn’t have a ton of money to spend this offseason, but they did bring in a couple of players. Ashley Young was brought in on a free transfer and he’s expected to play a big role this season. In the five leadup games to the season Everton has four wins and one draw. Each of the last two games Everton has had 1–0 victories over Stroke City and Sporting. Dele Ali is dealing with a hip injury and he’s not going to be able to go in this game.
Fulham Betting Preview
On the other side of this matchup is Fulham who have a ton of question marks heading into this season. Aleksandar Mitrovic and Willian are both getting interest from Saudi Arabian clubs and it’s unclear how long they are going to be with the team. Fulham has been inconsistent heading into this game, but they were able to pick up a win in the last game. Fulham faced off against Hoffenheim and they were able to play to a 2-1 victory. Even though there are rumblings about Mitrovic’s future, it appears he could play in this game, and he might even start.
Shane’s Free Pick
I am assuming that Mitrovic is going to play for Fulham, and if he does that, I give them the edge. Fulham’s offense is going to go where Mitrovic goes, and he’s going to find the back of the net at least once here. If he doesn’t play, this is a stay away spot for me, but if he plays it’s going to be Fulham that is going to get the job done. Back Fulham on the money line.
