Everton vs. Leeds United 2/12/22 Premier League Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Everton and Leeds United face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Goodison Park. When these two teams faced off in August of 2021 the two teams played to a 2-2 draw. 

Everton currently sits in 16th place in the standings having picked up 19 points. Everton has made a coaching change, but that hasn’t really resulted in this team finding a whole lot more success. In the last game against Newcastle, the defense really struggled giving up three goals and that led to the defeat. Two games ago against Aston Villa, the offense couldn’t get anything going and lost 1-0. Everton has scored 25 goals total while their defense has given up 38 goals. Demari Gray has been the top player scoring five goals and adding two assists. In this game, Everton needs their defense to be good. 

On the other side of this matchup is Leeds United who currently sits in 15th place in the standings having picked up 23 points. In the last game against Aston Villa, they gave up three goals in the first half, but fought back and were able to play to a 3-3 draw. Daniel James scored two goals. Leeds did have 61 percent of the possession and eight shots on goal. Leeds United has scored 27 goals while their defense has given up 43 goals. Raphael Dias Belloli has been the top player for Leeds United scoring eight goals and two assists. 

These are both defenses that have struggled this season and I expect both teams are going to run up the score. Look for both teams to score at least two goals, and although there isn’t a strong play on the side, the over is going to cash.
