France and Germany are clashing at Allianz Arena in round 1 of Group F in the Euro Cup 2021. France is the reigning World Champion, and they are on a 4-game winning streak. Germany is a solid team, but they haven’t been dangerous lately as they used to be.

We all know who and what France is, and if I start naming the players now, I won’t be able to stop. Any team that finds themselves on the other side of France is thinking, where in the world have these guys get that kind of talent and skill, France looks absolutely terrifying. In their last 2 friendly games, France has scored 6 goals while conceding 0 goals, and they have won both of those games. Another good news for France is that they haven’t conceded a single goal in their last 4 games, and they are one of the biggest favorites to win this tournament. This is the hardest group in the tournament, and it’s not going to be easy for France despite all of their quality. Griezmann and Hernandez are still questionable for this match, but it’s likely they will be playing. France has everything, a good goalkeeper, great defense, an absolutely brilliant midfield that can create chances, score goals, and defend, and the offense that is probably the best in the world.

Germany is slowly waking up, and I mean slowly. In their last 2 friendly games, Germany has 1 draw and 1 win alongside 8 scored goals and 2 conceded goals. Germany has only 1 loss in their last 5 games, and that was against North Macedonia at home in the World Cup qualifications. Hofmann and Goretzka are both still questionable for this game. As much offensive talent France has, Germany is not far away with Muller, Sane, Gnabry, Havertz, and Werner, but this is a fairly fresh team with a lot of new players. Germany will also change their head coach after this competition, and I believe players will do everything to send him off with a positive result in this tournament. This is the strongest group, and France, Portugal, and Germany are each good enough to end at the top of this group, but this first round will most likely determine which way will this group go. I believe Germany will advance to the next stage, but I don’t think it will be from the top spot simply because they are not familiar enough within the team.

France is in better form, that is clear, but we can’t just rule out Germany, especially at home. This is the last game of the group stage, and I think both teams will start this game by focusing on the defense, but I don’t think that will last long. I’m seeing goals on both sides in this match.
