Hertha BSC is welcoming Hoffenheim to Olympiastadion in round 27 of the German Bundesliga. Hertha is now in horrible form, they are on a big losing streak, and they are in the relegation zone. Hoffenheim on the other hand is playing really well, they are scoring goals, and more importantly, they are defending really well.

Hertha hasn’t won any of their last 10 games, while they have lost 8 of those 10 games. As I’ve mentioned, Hertha is in the relegation zone, they are in 17th place with 23 points, but there is still enough time for them to get out of it and save themselves. With a massive 60 conceded goals, Hertha is one of the worst defensive teams in the league, while their offense is just as bad with only 26 scored goals in 26 games. There are only 2 injured players on the list for Hertha, but even if they weren’t, Hertha wouldn’t play any better. Jovetic is the leading goalscorer for Hertha with 6 goals. As I’ve mentioned, there is enough time left for Hertha to secure their Bundesliga spot for next season, but they need to make a sharp right turn and change their approach to the games completely.

Hoffenheim is in amazing form, they haven’t lost any of their last 5 games, and they are a serious contender for the top 4 in Bundesliga. With 49 scored goals, Hoffenheim is a solid offensive team, and even though they have conceded 37 goals, their defense has improved a lot. In their last game, Hoffenheim was playing against Bayern, and that game has ended in a 1-1 draw, which is a clear sign of how much Hoffenheim’s defense has improved. Bebou is still the leading goalscorer for Hoffenheim with 7 goals, while Baumgartner and Rutter have added 6 goals each. Raum has added 9 assists. The injury list for Hoffenheim is really long, and they could sure use some of those players to help them in this battle until the end of the season. I think Hoffenheim has some decent chances to end up in the top 4, especially if their defense will be able to keep playing this well.

With the terrible form, they are in, I won’t even bother looking at Hertha here. I think Hoffenheim comes out to play in this game, and I think they will continue their nice streak.
