Inter is welcoming Sampdoria to Giuseppe Meazza in round 38 of the Italian Serie A. Inter has been playing well, scoring goals, and winning games, but they need a win here, and they need Milan to lose in their game. Sampdoria has also been playing well, but they have nothing to play for in this game, and they might get destroyed because of it.
Inter is in 2nd place with 81 points, which is 2 points less than Milan has, but as I’ve mentioned, there is a bit of math involved here. If Inter gets the win, and Milan gets the draw, Milan is the champion. If Inter gets the win and Milan gets the win, Milan is the champion. If Inter gets the win, and Milan losses, only then Inter will win Serie A. Offensively, Inter has been a much better team than Milan, the best in the league, but defensively they have both been pretty equal this season. Martinez has scored 21 goals for Inter so far, while Dzeko added 13 goals. Calhanoglu and Barella added 11 assists each. Inter has a lot of great players, and they also have a great coach, but they no longer depend on themselves in Serie A this season.
Sampdoria is in the solid form right now, and they have lost only 1 of their last 4 games. With 36 points, Sampdoria is now in 15th place, which is outside the relegation zone. With 60 scored goals, Sampdoria is not a good defensive team, but far from the worst in the league. Offensively, Sampdoria isn’t bad with 46 scored goals, but not as good as they would like to be. Caputo scored 11 goals and added 5 assists, while Candreva has 7 goals and 10 assists, and two of them have been Sampdoria’s best players this season. Overall, I would say Sampdoria is happy with their season, and despite the start, they have had, I think they have done a good job. Sampdoria is an average team, and they will always be somewhere close to the middle of the table.
Inter will go all out here, and I think they will score at least 3 goals. Sampdoria might be in good form, but Inter needs the win here, and they will get it. I’m going with Inter all the way.
