Leeds is hosting Brighton at Elland Road in round 37 of the English Premier League. There is hope yet for Leeds, but they need to snap out of this losing streak and get at least 1 win in their last 2 games of the season. Brighton is on a nice winning streak, but they got nothing to play for here as they are far away from the relegation, and they can’t reach Europe.

Leeds hasn’t won any of their last 4 games, and they are also on a 3-game losing streak right now. During that streak, Leeds has conceded 9 goals, while they have scored only 1 goal. The form Leeds is in right now is bad, really bad, but now it’s time to step up and get the job done, that is if they want to stay in the league. Leeds has a lot of injured players, and they also have a couple of suspended players because of the red cards, which certainly isn’t helpful when you are fighting for your lives. Raphinha is the leading goalscorer for Leeds with 10 goals, while Harrison has added 7 goals. This was a tough season for Leeds, they have been struggling with injuries, and the best reward would be to stay in the league, which is a hard task to accomplish.

As I’ve mentioned, Brighton can’t reach Europe, but they are now in good form, they are on a 2-game winning streak, and they are playing well. Brighton has kept 2 clean sheets in their last 2 games, and they have scored impressive 7 goals. In the standings, Brighton is now in 9th place with 47 points, and unfortunately, that is the best they can do this season. When it comes to scoring goals, Brighton is averaging just over 1 goal per game, but their defense is pretty solid with 42 conceded goals in 9 games. Maupay and Trossard are leading goalscorers for Brighton with 8 goals each. There are some injuries in Brighton, but it doesn’t matter since the season is ending. Overall, I would say this season is a success for Brighton, they weren’t under any pressure to secure their spot, they have beaten some great teams this season, and they have shown us they can compete. Good job, Brighton.

Leeds is in a much, much worse form here, but they need to step up and get a win, or at least a point. I know it’s a long shot, but I think Leeds is a good team, and I will side with them in this one.
