Levante is welcoming Barcelona to Ciudad de Valencia in round 31 of the Spanish LaLiga. Levante has had some good results lately, but they are still in the relegation zone, and they are pretty far away from the safe zone. Barcelona is now on a 6-game winning streak in LaLiga, but they are also the biggest favorites to win the Europa League.
Levante is now in 19th place with 22 points, they have scored 33 goals, while they have conceded 58 goals, and they are now 7 points away from safety. The chances of Levante staying in LaLiga are very slim, and something drastically should change for that to happen. Morales has scored 9 goals for Levante so far this season, while Frutos has added 7 assists. There aren’t any injured or suspended players in Levante as of right now. Levante might even get lucky enough to stay in LaLiga next season well, but looking at their schedule, just luck will definitely not keep them in the Spanish top tier. Levante has to step up defensively, they need to start scoring more goals, and judging by their season so far, I don’t see it happening.
As I’ve mentioned, Barcelona is in excellent form right now, and they are undefeated since January. In their game against Eintracht earlier this week, Barcelona dominated the possession, but Eintracht dominated shots. Luckily for Barcelona, they did get a positive result from that game, and now they will be the home team next week. In LaLiga, Barcelona is now in 3rd place with 57 points, but with a win here they will jump to 2nd place. Defensively, Barcelona has stabilized since Xavi has arrived, while their offense has improved even more. Depay is still leading Barcelona with 10 goals, but he has been struggling with injury as of late. Aubameyang gas added 7 goals, while Dembele has 10 assists. Alba has 7 assists. There is a slim chance Barcelona could catch up to Real Madrid in LaLiga, but I don’t think Real Madrid can drop that many points, which is why I think Barcelona is focused on the Europa League, and they can definitely win it.
Levante is a weak team, they are inconsistent, and their offensive capabilities are not great. Defensively, Levante is also not great, and they are now facing this Barcelona team that is on fire. I see Barcelona dominating, scoring a few goals, and winning this game.
