In their last game in the EPL, Liverpool has beaten West Ham 1-0, and it was mostly thanks to their defense. With 6 points less than Manchester City, Liverpool is in second place in the EPL. After having an excellent group stage in the Champions League, Liverpool has continued to play well in the knockouts as well, and even though it took them a while they have beaten Inter on the road. Salah is the leading goalscorer for Liverpool with 8 goals in the Champions League. Thiago is the only injured player for Liverpool at this time. If they can keep playing this well, Liverpool will quickly become one of the favorites to win the Champions League, but they are also still in the EPL title race.

As I’ve mentioned, Inter was in a big slump, they were winless for 5 games in a row, but they were finally able to beat Salernitana on Friday in Serie A. only because Napoli and Milan also had their issues Inter is still close to the top, and they are now in 2^nd place in Serie A. Edin Dzeko leads Inter in the Champions League with 3 goals. There are no injuries in Inter, but Barella is suspended. The group stage was solid for Inter, but they should have done a better job, but their defense at the moment is not what it was back then. I do think that Inter is a fantastic team with great players in each position, and that win against Salernitana will help them here, but Inter must attack from the start and try catching Liverpool off guard. I know it’s hard to imagine Inter beating Liverpool on the road when they lost at home in the first leg, but this is the Champions League, ad both teams are coming into this game with a lot of desire.

Inter has always lost to Liverpool in the past, but there is always hope. Liverpool hasn’t lost any of their last 29 home games, which is absolutely amazing, but Inter is desperate here, and they have literally nothing to lose.
