Liverpool is hosting Watford at Anfield in round 31 of the English Premier League. Liverpool has caught up to City, and they need a win here to stay close to them. Watford is still in the relegation zone, they are 3 points away from safety, but they are still playing horribly.

Liverpool is now on a 3-game winning streak, and the only game they have recently lost was against Inter in the Champions League, but they still advanced to the next stage. Speaking of the Champions League, Liverpool is playing against Benfica on the road next week. In the EPL, Liverpool is in 2nd place with 79 points, which is only 1 point less than City has. On both ends, Liverpool is among the best teams in the league, and they have scored 75 goals so far. Salah is the leading goalscorer for Liverpool with 20 goals and 10 assists, Jota has added 13 goals, Alexander-Arnold has added 11 assists, while Robertson has 10 assists. Milner is the only injured player for Liverpool. The Champions League match is important for Liverpool next week, but this EPL game is important as well, and for that reason, I think Liverpool will go for it here.

As I’ve mentioned, Watford is in the relegation zone with only 22 points, 29 scored goals, and 55 conceded goals. Nothing is working out for Watford this season, they have changed a few coaches already, but their chances of getting out of the relegation zone are very slim. In their last game, Watford was able to beat Southampton on the road, and they are in a slightly better mood now. Dennis is the leading goalscorer for Watford with 9 goals, while he also added 5 assists. N’Koulou and Sarr are both injured. The schedule is not easy for Watford for the rest of the season, they are facing some tough opponents, but maybe if they beat the weaker ones they could give themselves some hope of staying in the EPL.

Watford has beaten Liverpool only 3 times in the past, and I don’t think that number will change here. So far this season, Liverpool is undefeated at home, they are healthy, and they are playing well. I see Liverpool getting a nice home win here.
