Manchester City is welcoming Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium in round 38 of the English Premier League. City is holding their fate in their own hands, and with a win here they will win the title this season. Aston Villa has been decent overall, but they have nothing to play for in this game except to help Liverpool.

City is now undefeated in their last 3 games, and they could have had the title last weekend if they have beaten West Ham. City is the home team here, and there is nothing nicer than winning the title at home, which is something that City might very well accomplish here. With 36 scored goals, City is one of the best offensive teams in the world and the best offensive team in the EPL, but it’s not over yet. De Bruyne has been named the best player in the EPL this season, and he has definitely been carrying City this season with 15 goals and 7 assists. Sterling added 13 goals, while Mahrez has 11 goals. Dias is the only injured player for City, while Stones and Walker are questionable. City will do everything to get a win here, and they are in good enough form to do it.

Aston Villa’s coach, Steven Gerrard, is the former Liverpool captain, and I’m sure this might be a bit personal to him, as much as he is saying it’s not. Aston Villa is not without a win in their last 3 games, but they also haven’t lost any of their last 2 games. In the EPL standings, Aston Villa is in 14th place, and they have nothing to play for. Ollie Watkins is the leading goalscorer for Aston Villa with 11 goals, while Buendia and Ings added 6 assists. Ings has 7 goals as well. Hause, Konsa, and Bailey are all injured. Even though Aston Villa has nothing to play for in this game, they will do everything to snatch some points from City, which will be a hard task. Aston Villa has had a solid season, they could have done more, but there is always next season, and I think they will be a better team next season.

City will go all out here, and they will start fast to remove all the pressure and every doubt about them winning the title. Aston Villa hasn’t won any of their last 8 games against Manchester City, and as much as they would like to, they won’t beat them here. I’m siding with City, and I think they win another title in the EPL.
