City is no longer at the top, but they are playing well, and they have a chance to take over the top spot with a win here. Brighton is on a 2-game winning streak, and this is actually their third game in a row on the road.

City has been a bit sloppy lately, and they haven’t won any of their last 3 games, while also getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool, which is don’t think they are too disappointed about. Manchester City is still the biggest favorite to win the title in the EPL, and they are playing in the Champions League semifinals as well. Defensively, City is the best team in the league this season with only 20 conceded goals, while their offense is solid, but they are not the best. City has scored 72 goals in 31 games. There were a few injuries in City, but they are getting healthy, and City will have almost their full roster available in this game. De Bruyne is the leading goalscorer for City with 11 goals, while Mahrez and Sterling have added 10 goals each. Jesus and Concelo have added 7 assists each. City might already be preparing for their Champions League clash next week, but they need to win this game as well, and I think they will.

Brighton has played 2 games on the road in a row, and they have won both of them, against Tottenham and Arsenal. As I’ve mentioned, this is the 3^rd game on the road in a row for Brighton, and it is the hardest one. Thanks to their last 2 games, Brighton is now in 10^th place, they have 40 points, but they have scored only 29 goals which are really low. Maupay is still the leading goalscorer for them with 8 goals. Moder, Alzate, and Duffy are all injured, while Bissouma is suspended because of the yellow cards. Brighton is far away from the relegation zone, they have had any problems securing their EPL spot for next season, but I think they wanted more. Defensively, Brighton is more than solid, but with this weak offense, Brighton can’t do much, and I think they are aware.

The trends are on City’s side in this matchup, and they are a much better and deeper team. Brighton could get on the scoreboard here, but it will be tough. I see City getting a nice win in this one.
