Manchester City vs. Copenhagen 10/5/22 UEFA Champions League Soccer Pick, Predictions, Odds

Manchester City and Copenhagen face off on Wednesday in a UEFA Champions League Group G showdown at Etihad Stadium. 

Manchester City currently sits in 1st place in the standings having picked up six points. Manchester City’s last UEFA Champions League game came against Dortmund, and they were able to secure the 2-1victory in that game. It was Erling Haaland that scored the goal in the 84th minute to secure the victory. Manchester City had 66 percent of the possession and three shots on target. Over the weekend, Manchester City faced off against Manchester United, and they were able to play to a 6-3 victory in that game. Manchester City are banged up heading into this game, and they will be without Rodri, John Stones, and Kyle Walker. Joao Cancelo is set to be in the starting lineup, and they will need to have a big game here. 

On the other side of this matchup is Copenhagen, who sits in 3rd place in the standings having picked up one point. Their last Champions League game came against Sevilla, and that game ended in a 0-0 draw. In that game, they had only 37 percent of the possession and two shots on goal, and that led to the draw. Copenhagen on Sunday faced off against AGF and that game was a 1-0 victory. Akinkunmi Amoo is dealing with a knee injury right now, and he won’t be able to go here. Mathew Ryan is expected to be moved into the starting goalie here, and he has had plenty of experience against Manchester City. 

Copenhagen isn’t a bad team, but they don’t have anywhere close to the budget or talent as Manchester City. I don’t expect Copenhagen to find much success with their defense here, and this will be an easy victory for Manchester City.
