Manchester City and Fulham face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Etihad Stadium. When these two teams faced off on February 5th it was Man City that secured the 4-1 victory.
Manchester City comes into this game sitting in second place in the group having picked up 29 points. Man City has been winning games, but they haven’t been exactly dominant in the last couple of games in the Premier League. In the last game against Leicester City, the offense only had five shots on goal, and one goal scored. Kevin de Bruyne was the goalscorer in the 49th minute. In a midweek game, Manchester City beat Sevilla 3-1. Erling Braut Haaland has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, and the hope is that he’s going to be able to go in this game. Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips are both still injured, and they aren’t going to be able to go in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is Fulham, who sits in 7th place in the group having picked up 19 points. Fulham’s last game came against Everton, and that game ended in a 0-0 draw. Fulham had 57 percent of the possession and six shots on target, but they couldn’t find the back of the net and only picked up a point. Bobby Decordova-Reid has picked up five yellow cards and is not suspended for this game. Neeskens Kebano is dealing with an Achilles injury and will be out for the next couple of months.
Even if Haaland isn’t able to go in this game, this is going to be a game where Manchester City finds success. Manchester City has found a lot more success scoring at home, and they are going to run up the score with ease in this game. Look for Man City to score at least three goals. Back Manchester City -1.5.
