Milan and Inter are clashing at San Siro in a Derby dell Madonnina in round 12 of the Italian Serie A. Milan is now the only team keeping up with Napoli, and they are also still undefeated this season in Serie A. Inter has been playing well lately, and they are now on a 3-game winning streak.

Milan has 31 points, they have scored 25 goals, while they conceded only 10, and they are in second place in the Serie A standings right now. Milan has been kicking ass in Serie A, but they are still winless in the Champions League, and their chances of advancing to the next stage are astronomically small. In their last Serie game, Milan was playing against Roma on the road, and they have had 50% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and a solid 85% of the correct passes. Milan was leading 0-2 in the 57th minute, but they have conceded a red card in the 66th minute, and Roma was dangerous after that. Milan was defending well, and they have conceded a goal, but it was late in the game, and they were able to win this game 1-2. Hernandez will miss this game because of that red card, while Diaz and Rebic are injured. Giroud and Leao are the leading goalscorers for Milan with 4 goals each. Milan is in great form in Serie A, their defense is solid, but they are now facing the best offensive team in the league, and they will need to be even better.

As I’ve mentioned, Inter is the best offensive team in the league so far with 28 scored goals, and their defense was solid as well with only 12 conceded goals, and they have been in excellent form lately. Inter is on a 3-game winning streak during which they scored 7 goals while conceding only 1 goal, and with their latest win, Inter has to take over the second place in their Champions League group. Inter was playing against Sheriff Tiraspol in their last game, and they were a much better team with 65% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 5 big chances created, and a high 89% of the correct passes. The first half was slow for Inter, but their victory was never in question. With 3 scored goals in the second half, Inter has won this game 1-3, and they will most likely be advancing to the next stage. In Serie A, Inter is now in 3rd place with 24 points, and while a 7-point difference isn’t a lot, it might enough for Inter to never catch up to Milan and Napoli.

This is one of the biggest derbies in Italy, and the derby between two teams from the same city who are playing in the same stadium. There is no home-field advantage here, and both teams are in excellent form. The case could be made for both teams, and a lot is depended on who are you cheering for, but I will take the draw in this one because I don’t think Inter is good enough to be the favorite, and Milan is not good enough to beat Inter.
