Morocco and Croatia kick off their World Cup in a Group F soccer showdown at Al Bayt Stadium.
This Morocco team seems like a real wild card heading into the World Cup. The last couple of years have been filled with ups and downs, but the hope is they can peak at the right time, during the World Cup. Last Thursday, Morocco faced off against Georgia, and they were able to secure a 3-0 victory. They scored their first goal in the 5th minute, and they never looked back on the way to the victory. Morocco is expected to use mostly the same team that won the last game over Georgia, although a few changes are going to be made. Sofyan Amrabat is expected to be moved into the starting lineup here. Romain Saiss will also get the start here, and is going to need to have a big game.
On the other side of this matchup is Croatia, who has high expectations for this World Cup, and they need to start it out with three points. Last Wednesday, Croatia faced off against Saudi Arabia, and they were able to secure a 1-0 victory. Andrej Kramaric scored in the 82nd minute to secure the victory. They had 59 percent of the possession, but only managed two shots on goal. Luka Modrić and Mateo Kovacic are going to move into the starting lineup here, and both are going to key here for a victory. Josip Stanisic is also expected to move into the starting lineup here.
Croatia knows that they have to pick up three points here, and they aren’t going to be afraid to push the numbers forward here. Luka Modrić is still one of the top players in the World, and he is going to find the back of the net at least once here. Look for Croatia to score at least three goals, and that will be enough to secure the victory. Back Croatia -1.5 to cash.
