With 15 points, Napoli is now in 2^nd place, but their offense has been brilliant with 14 scored goals so far. It’s easy to forget about Napoli’s defense next to this offense, but they have conceded only 2 goals, which is the least in the league so far this season. in their last 2 games, Napoli has scored 8 goals while keeping 2 clean sheets, and they looked fantastic. In their last game against Sampdoria on the road, Napoli was the better team with 52% of ball possession, 9 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and 89% of the correct passes. Napoli has scored 2 goals in each half, and they ended up winning this game 0-4. Osimhen now leads Napoli with 3 goals, while Koulibaly and Ruiz added 2 goals each. Insigne has added 3 assists. Napoli will be playing in the Europa League next week, but that game is on Thursday which is why I don’t think they will rest any players. I really hope Napoli can continue playing this well because the season will be fantastic in Serie A because of it.

After barely escaping the relegation zone last season, Cagliari will have another tough season this year, possibly even harder. Cagliari hasn’t won any of their last 5 games while losing 3 of those 5 games. Defensively, Cagliari has been worse than in the attacking end, and they are now in low 19^th place with only 2 points. In their last game, Cagliari was hosting Empoli, and they have had 50% of ball possession, 1 shot on goal, 7 corner kicks, 0 big chances created, and 78% of the correct passes. Cagliari has done nothing in the attacking end, and even less defensively, and they have deservedly lost this game 0-2. Rog and Ceter are both injured for Cagliari at the moment. Joao Pedro has scored 4 goals for Cagliari so far, and he is their best player. I think Cagliari is barely waiting for the next international break, and luckily for them, it’s only a week away.

Cagliari hasn’t had much success against Napoli on the road, and now when Napoli is in this excellent form, Cagliari will have even less success. Napoli’s great offense and Cagliari’s terrible defense are the recipe for a disaster for Cagliari, and that is what I’m counting on in this game.
