Napoli and Milan are clashing at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in round 28 of the Italian Serie A. Napoli has taken over the top of the table after Inter and Milan failed to win their games, but they are now in 2nd place because Inter has a game more played. Milan is in 3rd place, but with a win here they will go back to the top, but their form is a bit shaky now.

Napoli was without a win for a while, and they got knocked out of the Europa League, but they have beaten Lazio last weekend. With 57 points, Napoli is in 2nd place, they have scored a solid 49 goals, while they are also the best defensive team with only 19 conceded goals. Lozano and Malcuit are both injured for Napoli, but everyone else is healthy and ready. Getting knocked out of the Europa League might be a good thing for Napoli because they can now solely focus on Serie A, and they are certainly good enough to win it this season. Osimhen, Mertens, and Insigne have each scored 7 goals for Napoli so far this season. The schedule is not easy for Napoli, but as we can see their defense is great, and they will need it to stay great if they want points over the next few weeks.

Milan might be undefeated in their last 7 games, but they haven’t won any of their last 3 games. Milan has been good when it comes to scoring goals this season, but it takes them a lot of chances to score lately. In their last game against Inter in Coppa Italia, Milan failed to score, but they defended well, and the final result was 0-0. Milan is averaging almost 2 scored goals per game this season, but it seems they are really missing Ibrahimovic who is getting close to being ready after his injury. Defensively, Milan could do better, and they should do better. Romagnoli and Kjaer are both still injured. Ibrahimovic has scored 8 goals so far for Milan, and he is their leading goalscorer. Leao has also added 8 goals. Titles are won by beating the small teams, and that is something Milan is struggling with this season, despite having a lot more quality.

I think this will be an interesting matchup, and I don’t think either team will be happy with the draw. This game could easily go either way, and I know Milan is due for a nice win, but it will be hard against this solid Napoli team.
