Napoli vs. Udinese 3/19/22 Serie A Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Napoli is hosting Udinese at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in round 30 of the Italian Serie A. Napoli hasn’t been the best lately, they have won only 2 of their last 7 games, but they are still in the title run. Udinese has been playing a bit better lately, they are undefeated in their last 4 games, and they have been scoring pretty consistently as of late.

Napoli is in 2^nd place in the Serie A standings, but that is the only competition they are playing. Napoli has 60 points at the moment, they have scored a solid 51 goals so far, while they are still the best defensive team in the league with only 21 conceded goals. I think Napoli has the quality to win the title this season, but they have had too many of those tiny black holes that cost them some points. Of course, there is still a lot of time left this season for them to get to the top, but they need to start scoring more goals consistently. Osimhen is the leading goalscorer for Napoli with 9 goals, while Mertens and Insigne have added 7 goals each. Insigne has also added 6 assists. Malcuit, Petagna, and Meret are injured. As I’ve mentioned, Napoli has the quality, they have the game style, and they have the defense to win the title, but their offense is spotty.

Udinese has scored at least 1 goal in each of their last 4 games, but they have also conceded at least 1 goal in their last 5 games in a row. Luckily for Udinese, this positive streak has gotten them outside the relegation zone, and pretty far away I might add. Udinese is now in 14^th place with 30 points. Overall, I think Udinese is an average team, maybe slightly below average, but still a decent team. Offensively, Udinese is doing the best they can, they have scored only 35 goals, while they have conceded 44 goals in 27 games. Deulofeu and Beto are the leading goalscorers for Udinese with 8 goals each, while Deulofeu has also added 4 assists. Perez is the only injured player for Udinese. I think Udinese will stay in Serie A, but only because there are quite a lot of bad teams in the league this season, which is why their oscillations in the game are not as noticeable.

Napoli is the favorite here, they have more quality, and they are more depth. Udinese has proved they can score goals consistently, but they still can’t defend. I will take Napoli and goals in this one.
