Nottingham Forest vs. Fulham 9/16/22 EPL Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Nottingham Forest and Fulham face off on Friday in an English Premier League showdown at the City Ground. When these two teams faced off on April 26th, it was Nottingham Forest that secured the 1-0 victory. 

Nottingham Forest currently sits in 19th place in the standings having picked up four points. Nottingham Forest has lost three games in a row and during those three games, they have been outscored 11-2. In the last game against Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest was up 2-0 at halftime, but in the second half the defense really fell apart, and they ended up losing 3-2. They had 53 percent of the possession and three shots on target. Nottingham will be without Orel Mangala, Moussa Niakhate, and Omar Richards as they are still dealing with injuries. It also looks like Jesse Lingard that could be moved to the bench in this game while Emmanual Dennis might take his place.

On the other side of this matchup is Fulham, and they sit in 10th place in the standings having picked up eight points. In the last game against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham was competitive, but the defense had a couple of mistakes, and they ended up losing 2-1. Two games ago against Brighton, Fulham scored two goals and that led to the 2-1 victory. Manor Solomon and Harry Wilson are still out with injuries, and they won’t be able to go in this game. Daniel James, Willian, and Carlos Vinicius all played in the last game off the bench, and there is a chance a few of those could move into the starting lineup. 

These are both teams that like to push numbers forward, but that typically leaves holes in the defense. In the last game for Nottingham Forest, there were five goals scored, and I expect a similar game here. Look for Nottingham Forest to score a couple of goals, but their defense will also show its holes and give up a few goals. This game will finish 3-2 or 2-2 and the over 3.5 goals will cash.
