FC Porto and Club Brugge face off on Tuesday in a Champions League game in Group B at Estadio do Dragao.
Club Brugge currently sits tied for 1st place in Group B having picked up three points so far this Champions League. Club Brugge faced off against Leverkusen, and it was the defense that was the difference as they secured the 1-0 victory. Club Brugge scored a goal in the 42nd minute, and that led to the victory. They had three shots on target, but scored the goal on the way to the victory. Brugge faced off against RFC Seraing on Saturday, and they were able to secure the 2-0 victory. Noa Lang, Mats Rits, Clinton Mata, and Tajon Buchanan are all dealing with injuries and won’t be able to go in this game.
On the other side of this matchup is FC Porto, and they sit in 3rd place in the standings having picked up zero points. Porto faced off against Atlético Madrid in the first Champions League game, and they were defeated 2-1. Porto gave up two goals after the 90th minute and that led to the defeat. Mehdi Taremi picked up a red in the 81st minute and won’t be available to go in this game. On Saturday, Porto beat Chaves 3-0. Otavio is also dealing with a broken rib and won’t be available to go in this game. Pepe is also expected to move into the starting lineup, and he will need to have a big game here.
Both teams are missing key pieces and that makes this game a little hard to judge. Without the key players, though, I expect both offenses to struggle a bit and that is going to lead to this game's lower scoring. Back the under to cash here with ease.
