PSG is hosting Real Madrid at Parc des Princes in the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League. PSG has been in good form, they have a ton of offensive firepower, but they have been struggling with scoring goals quite a lot this season. Real Madrid is getting Benzema back for this game, and that will be a huge boost for this team, but we will see what state he is in after his injury.

PSG has lost only 1 game since November of last year, and their last match n the group stage of the Champions League. With 11 points, PSG finished in 2nd place in their group, they have scored 13 goals, but they have also conceded 8 goals in that group of the Champions League. As far as Ligue 1 goes, PSG is at the top, and they have won their last Ligue 1 game, barely I might add. Messi hasn’t been doing much for PSG in Ligue 1, but he was more than solid in the Champions League with 5 scored goals so far. There are a few injuries in PSG, but some of these players don’t even have a lot of games this season. Mbappe will be the player to watch in this game most likely, but I like Messi to score in this game, and I think he might have a great game.

Real Madrid was without a few key players in their last LaLiga matchup, but they were able to get a positive result out of their game against Villarreal. Even though Real Madrid is still at the top of the table in LaLiga, the pressure from Sevilla is getting stronger with each game, and there is only a 4-point game between the two right now. As far as the Champions League goes, Real has won their group with 15 points, 5 more than Inter, and they were absolutely outstanding on both ends. As I’ve mentioned, Real is getting Benzema back for this game, but he missed a few games, and he will either be a bit rusty, or he will be in great form like nothing happened. The good news for Real Madrid is they don’t have any injuries, their defense is healthy, and now their offense is healthy as well. It’s always important to get a good result on the road in these 2-leg matchups, but even if Real Madrid losses here, they are still good enough to turn things around at home.

On paper, this could be a real treat of a game, but in reality, I think we might be in for a disappointment. PSG is struggling a bit with scoring goals, and I don’t think either team will be too eager to attack in this game. I’m looking at a draw here.
