Real Betis and Eintracht Frankfurt are clashing at Benito Villamarin in the first leg of Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League. Betis is a very good team, but a very inconsistent team this season. Eintracht isn’t much better, they haven’t scored a while before their last game, but they have done well in the Europa League so far.

Once again, Betis is without a win in their last 4 games, but the good news is they have lost only 2 of those 4 games. In their last game, Betis has had a golden chance to beat a struggling team, but instead, they forgot they had a game, and they lost 1-3. In the Europa League, Betis has ended in 2nd place in their group, and they have had to go through the playoffs to get here. Betis has knocked out Zenit in that playoff round. In the Europa League, Iglesias is the leading goalscorer for Betis with 3 goals, while Juanmi has added 2 goals. Montoya is the only injured player for Betis. As I’ve mentioned, Betis is struggling right now, but they have always done well at home so far this season, and I don’t think this game will be an exception.

Eintracht isn’t in much better form than Betis, but the good news is they have scored a few goals this past weekend which should get them back on track. In Bundesliga, Eintracht is in 10th place, and they will stay somewhere in the middle of the table, which is why I think they will focus on the Europa League more over the next few weeks. Kamada is the leading goalscorer for Eintracht in the Europa League with 3 goals, and he is expected to lead the charge in this game as well. In the group stage, Eintracht was good, more than good, and they have won their group, but Betis is a good team and Eintracht will need to be careful. The good news for Eintracht is they don’t have any injuries right now, and as I’ve mentioned, those scored goals in Bundesliga over the weekend will be a nice confidence boost. Eintracht is certainly capable of scoring a lot of goals, and I hope they can do it here as well.

Betis and Eintracht have met only once in the past, and Eintracht has won that game 3-0. If I had to give the advantage to someone, it would be Betis because they are at home, but because of their current form, I will stay away from a side. I will find something for a good price and take a shot in this one.
