Real Madrid and Barcelona are clashing at Santiago Bernabeu in the El Clasico of round 29 in the Spanish LaLiga. Real Madrid is playing well, they are scoring goals, but they will be without Benzema in this game. Barcelona has played in the Europa League earlier this week, they have qualified for the next stage, and they are on a 4-game winning streak in LaLiga.

Real Madrid is in great form, they are at the top of the table with 66 points, which is 10 points more than Sevilla has in second place. When it comes to offense no one is better than Real Madrid and Karim Benzema who has scored 22 goals and added 10 assists, and they will certainly miss him a lot in this game. Defensively, only Sevilla is better than Real Madrid in LaLiga this season. it’s likely Real Madrid will win the title this season in Spain, but in the Champions League, they have drawn Chelsea, and that will be a very hard game for both teams. Alongside Benzema, Mendy is injured as well. Overall, Real Madrid is having a fantastic season, mostly thanks to Benzema and Modric who are both in fantastic form, but only one of them will be playing in this game.

Barcelona is undefeated in their last 11 games, they are playing really well in the attacking end, and their defense is slowly improving as well. Earlier this week, Barcelona has knocked out Galatasaray from the Europa League, and they have drawn Eintracht in the quarterfinals. In LaLiga, Barcelona is now in 3rd place with 51 points, they have scored 52 goals, while their defense is pretty solid overall with 29 conceded goals. For this game, Barcelona will be without Roberto, Fati, Balde, Umtiti, Ezzalzouli, and Dest, but they have a lot of quality left, both in the starting lineup and on the bench. Xavi has been crucial for this team, and he is their future, but their defense is still vulnerable, and that is something they need to fix in the summer. Barcelona is a massive 15 points behind Real Madrid in the standings, and a miracle should happen for them to get there, but you never know. I also think Barcelona will go all out in the Europa League, and I think they should because that is the trophy they haven’t won yet.

Real Madrid hasn’t lost to Barcelona in their last 6 games, but I would give the edge to Barcelona in this one. Without Benzema, Real Madrid has lost about 35% of the offense, if not more, and that is way too much to compete with this Barcelona team that is on fire.
