Real Madrid and Sevilla are clashing at Santiago Bernabeu in round 15 of the Spanish LaLiga. Real Madrid is in excellent form, they are winning games in all competitions, and they have secured their spot in the next stage. Sevilla is also in excellent form, and they are the best defensive teams in LaLiga right now.
Real is on a 5-game winning streak, while they haven’t lost any of their last 8 games. Thanks to this amazing run, Real has taken over the top of LaLiga with 30 points, and they are the best offensive team in the league with 32 scored goals. Benzema has been their best player with 10 goals and 6 assists so far. Vinicius has added 8 goals. Ceballos, Bale, and Valverde are all injured. Real Madrid has beaten Sheriff Tiraspol in their last Champions League game, while they have beaten Granada in their last LaLiga game, also on the road. Real is doing a great job thanks to coach Ancelotti, and they are the perfect combination of youth and experience, but I think they could use a bit more depth. Real Madrid has a few tough games ahead of them, but they are good enough to get points out of all of them.
Sevilla is the best defensive team in the league with only 9 conceded goals, while their offense has also been solid with 23 scored goals in 13 games. Thanks to their great form, Sevilla is now in 3rd place in the LaLiga standings. As far as the Champions League goes, Sevilla needed a win earlier this week, and they got it against Wolfsburg, but this is an interesting group where every team can still qualify or get knocked out. Sevilla is in 3rd place with 6 points in that group, and they are playing against Salzburg in their last game, and I’m afraid the draw is not going to be enough. In that game against Wolfsburg, Sevilla was dominant with 61% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 84% of the correct passes. Sevilla was in control from start to finish, and with 1 scored goal in each half, Sevilla has won this game 2-0. Lamela and Mir are leading goalscorers for Sevilla in LaLiga with 4 goals each. Navas and En-Nesyri are both injured. Sevilla also has a few tough games ahead, but their form will give them the advantage in all of those games, and seeing how good their defense is, it will hard for their opponents to score.
This will be a tough match in my opinion, especially because both teams are in excellent form. We have the best offensive team and the best defensive team in the league facing off in this game, and honestly, it could go either way. I don’ think Real Madrid is that much stronger than Sevilla for me to side with them, which is why I will take the draw.
