Real Sociedad is welcoming Barcelona to Reale Arena in round 33 of the Spanish LaLiga. Real Sociedad is in great form right now, but they are not scoring a lot of goals, and that might cost them here. Barcelona is on a 2-game losing streak, but they are in the Champions League spot right now, and they are still a great team with a lot of depth and quality.

Sociedad is undefeated in their last 5 games, but they couldn’t beat Betis in their latest game. Overall, Sociedad is by far the weakest offensive team of all the top 6 teams in LaLiga with 32 scored goals, but their defense has been more than solid so far this season with only 30 conceded goals. With 55 points, Sociedad is now in 6th place, which is the Conference League spot. David Silva has conceded a red card in their last game, which means he will miss this game because of it. There are a few more injured players which Sociedad will surely miss. Oyarzabal is the leading goalscorer for Sociedad with 9 goals. Sociedad is actually still close to both the Europa League and the Champions League spot, but for them to get there, they need to score more goals.

Barcelona hasn’t been at their best lately, and they were called out by their coach Xavi after that loss to Cadiz earlier this week. Barcelona is now in a mini-slump or something where they can’t score goals, and if they do, they need 10 chances to do it. In the standings, Barcelona is in 3rd place with 60 points, but if they win in this game they are going back to 2nd. With 60 scored goals, Barcelona is among the best offensive teams in the league, as the matter of fact, only Real Madrid has scored more, but as I’ve mentioned Barcelona hasn’t been themselves lately. The injury list is getting shorter and shorter for Barcelona, which means we will finally see some players we haven’t seen in a while. I think Barcelona has a decent schedule until the end of the season, their goal is to qualify for the Champions League because Real Madrid is too far ahead of them, and they are already working on their summer signings. Barcelona has a lot of depth right now, they are capable of scoring a lot of goals, and they have for a while, but now they need to get back to it because they will need those goals soon.

Real Sociedad hasn’t won any of their last 5 games against Barcelona, but they have been really good at home this season. Barcelona is in decent form on the road this season, but they better start using their chances. Sociedad is without a few key players, and Barcelona will take advantage of that.
