Roma vs. Venezia 5/14/22 Serie A Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Roma is welcoming Venezia to Stadio Olimpico in round 37 of the Italian Serie A. Roma is playing for the Europa League, and they need a win, or at least a draw to stay in that 6^th place. Venezia still has the chance to get outside the relegation zone, but it’s only theoretically.

Roma is in 6^th place with 59 points, which is the same as Fiorentina and Atalanta behind them, but Roma has a solid schedule for the last two games. Roma has also reached the Conference League finals where they will face Feyenoord in a couple of weeks. Of the 55 goals Roma has scored this season, Abraham has scored 15 goals, while Pellegrini has added 8 goals and 6 assists. Veretout has added 7 assists. Mkhitaryan is the only injured player for Roma at this time. I think Roma is a very talented team with quite a bit of depth, they have had their ups and downs this season, but they have reached the Conference League finals, and I hope they win it.

After a 10-game losing streak, Venezia has gotten a win in their last game against Bologna, and it was a fantastic game. Venezia was leading 2-0, then they were losing 2-3, but they were still able to score 2 late goals, one of which was in the 93^rd minute. Venezia has won this game 4-3. It was a fantastic win for Venezia, but I don’t think it will be enough for them to stay in the league. Venezia has two games to play until the end, and they would need to win both of them, while Cagliari, Genoa, and Salernitana shouldn’t win any of their games for the rest of the season, which seems highly unlikely. Henry is the leading goalscorer for Venezia with 9 goals, while Aramu has added 7 goals. Venezia has a few injuries at the moment, but it doesn’t matter. It’s always hard to stay in the league for a team that just got promoted to the top flight, but Venezia was close, and it’s a shame they couldn’t do a bit better.

Roma is the better team here, a much better team, they have more depth, they have a lot more quality, and they are in desperate need of a win. I’m going with Roma in this one.
