Sassuolo vs. Roma 2/13/22 Serie A Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Sassuolo is hosting Roma at Mapei Stadium in round 25 of the Italian Serie A. Sassuolo got shot out last weekend against Sampdoria, but they did score against Juventus in Coppa Italia earlier this week. Roma couldn’t score a goal against Genoa last weekend, and they couldn’t score against Inter in Coppa Italia, and the situation in the club is not great.

Sassuolo is one of the best offensive teams in the league with 39 scored goals, and honestly, they can outscore anyone. Defensively though, Sassuolo is one of the worst teams in the league with 42 conceded goals in 24 games. With only 29 points in 24 games, Sassuolo is now in 12^th place in the Serie A Standings. There aren’t many injuries in Sassuolo, only one to be exact, but they have a couple of suspended players with Raspadori and Scamacca, and they will miss these two players a lot. Berardi has scored 10 times, Scamacca has added 9 goals, while Raspadori added 7 goals. Berardi has added 9 assists as well. As I’ve mentioned, Sassuolo can outscore anyone, and they have usually played well against the big teams this season, which is good because they are facing Inter after this game.

As I’ve mentioned, the situation in Roma is not great, Mourinho was not in a good mood after their last two games, he lost it on players, and the players were not happy at all. There is a lot of talent in Roma, but that talent is not doing much these days. With 39 points, Roma is now in 7^th place in Serie A standings, they have scored 40 goals, but they have also conceded 30 goals. In the Coppa Italia earlier this week, Roma was playing against Inter on the road, and they ended up losing this game 2-0, which is the second game in a row where Roma hasn’t scored a single goal. There have been a few bright spots in Roma this season, and one of them was Tammy Abraham who scored 10 goals so far. Pellegrini has added 6 assists. Spinazzola and Ibanez are injured, while Zaniolo is suspended because of the red card. I honestly don’t think Mourinho will last in Roma until the end of the season, and it gets worse because he is blaming everything on players.

Normally, I would take Sassuolo here given the situation in Roma, but because Sassuolo is missing a couple of key players, I don’t dare. I will take goals in this one because neither team has the defense to stop the other one, especially Sassuolo.
