SC Freiburg vs. Bayer Leverkusen 12/19/21 Bundesliga Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

SC Freiburg is hosting Bayer Leverkusen at Europa-Park-Stadion in round 17 of the German Bundesliga. Freiburg is a solid team, but they are very inconsistent right now, and their defense is leaky. Speaking of leaky defenses, Leverkusen’s is super leaky, but their offense has been incredible.

Freiburg is a good team, but they have won only 1 of their last 5 games, while they haven’t won any of their last 2 games. Thanks to this bad streak, Freiburg has dropped to 7^th place with 26 points, 26 scored goals, and only 15 conceded goals. I think Freiburg is one of the teams who are barely waiting for that winter break, and that is when they will try to regroup and prepare for the second half of the season. Holer and Leinhart are the leading goalscorers for Freiburg with 4 goals each. Grifo has added 6 assists. There aren’t many injuries in Freiburg, but the 3 injuries they do have are bad, and those players would be in the starting lineup otherwise. Freiburg has proven they are a good team and that they can beat anyone, but now it’s time to get back to work, fix the problems they have, and try qualifying for the Champions League.

Leverkusen is in 3^rd place with 28 points, but they are struggling with finishing games even though they have an advantage until that point. Leverkusen is scoring a ton of goals, and Patrik Schick is the leading goalscorer for Leverkusen with 16 goals. Wirtz has added 5 goals and 7 assists. Leverkusen was playing great in all of their last 3 games, but they didn’t win any of those games, and they barely got a point out of the last one. With 39 scored goals, Leverkusen is just behind Bayern and Borussia when it comes to scoring goals, but their defense isn’t great with 26 conceded goals so far this season. I think Leverkusen has a bright future, but only if they will be able to keep most of their stars, and seeing how well they are playing, that will be very hard to accomplish. Patrik Schick has been playing in the best form of his life, he is scoring as much as Lewandowski is, and I imagine there will be a long line of callers waiting for his signature, but as of right now, he is Leverkusen’s player, and he is doing a remarkable job.

I think this will be a very fun game, and honestly, it could go either way, which is why I will avoid betting on the winner in this one. Goals are the way to go.
