Defensively, Chelsea has been a bit sloppy lately, they definitely were against Real Madrid, but overall, Chelsea is one of the best defensive teams in the league. The schedule is not easy for Chelsea, they have some tough games ahead, but they better take it one step at a time. Mount is still the leading goalscorer for Chelsea with 8 goals, while Havertz has added 6 goals. Mount has also added 7 assists. There aren’t many injuries in Chelsea, but players who are injured are replaceable. The second leg of the Champions League is next week, and I know all the fans are probably thinking about that game already, but as I’ve mentioned, Chelsea has to take this one step at a time, otherwise, they might burn.

I think this is the perfect spot for Chelsea to bounce back to get in somewhat good form, but Southampton won’t just roll over. I think Chelsea is the better team here and they have more depth and quality on the bench, which might be crucial in this game.
