West Ham played a midweek Europa Conference league, and they were able to secure a 2-1 victory. Nayef Aguerd is still not able to go, and that is a big loss for this West Ham squad. 

On the other side of this matchup is Southampton, who sit in 17th place in the standings having picked up 7 points. Southampton is struggling coming into this game and in the last game, they lost 4-0 to Manchester City. Southampton only had 34 percent of the possession and zero shots on goal. They allowed Manchester City to finish with eight shots on goal and 66 percent of the possession. It’s really unclear who is going to start for Southampton, but after some struggles against Man City, there could be some big changes coming. 

Southampton really struggled in the last game against Manchester City with their defense, and I think it’s going to be the case again here.
