Tottenham is welcoming West Ham to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the London derby of round 30 in the English Premier League. Tottenham is still very inconsistent, but only a blind person can’t see the progress they have made since Conte took over. West Ham has beaten Sevilla in the Europa League earlier this week, and they have accomplished the most in history in Europe by qualifying to the quarterfinals.
Tottenham has won their last game against Brighton 0-2, but they have been playing hot-cold over the last few weeks. Overall, I think Tottenham is a great team with a fantastic offense, and Harry Kane is once again close to being his old self. Kane is now the leading goalscorer for Spurs with 12 goals, while Son has added 11 goals. Apart from those two, Tottenham has no one who can score more than 10 goals, and the closest players now have only 2 goals. Son has also added 5 assists, while Kulusevski has added 4 assists in 8 games. There are a couple of injuries in Tottenham but no big deal. In the standings, Tottenham is now in 7th place with 48 points, and they still have a decent chance of getting to the top 5, but they better start playing more consistently, and they better connect two great games together.
As I’ve mentioned, West Ham has knocked out Sevilla from the Europa League earlier this week, and it was well-deserved. West Ham has scored a goal in the first half, but the second goal of this game came in the overtime, and it was from West Ham. In the EPL, West Ham has beaten Aston Villa last week, and with that win, West Ham has stayed close to the top 4. Ogbona, Coufal, and Bowen are all injured, and that latter one is an important piece of this team with 8 scored goals and 8 assists. Antonio has also scored 8 goals. West Ham will certainly be tired in this game, they did play just a few days ago, and it went to overtime, but that win could certainly be a nice boost for every player and fan of this club. West Ham has been moving in the right direction over the last couple of seasons, they are signing good players without spending a lot of money, and they are doing an excellent job on both ends.
The trends are on Tottenham’s side, and they are the favorites here, but it will be a hard game. As I’ve mentioned, West Ham will be a bit tired, and even though they might score, I don’t see them getting a positive result in this game.
