Tunisia and France face off Wednesday in a Group D soccer showdown at the Education City Stadium.

France comes into this game sitting in 1st place in the group having picked up six points. France opened up the World Cup with a 4-1 victory over Australia, and in the last game they beat Denmark 2-1. The offense has looked good, but there has to be a bit of a concern going forward about the defense. Kylian Mbappé was the star of the show in the last game, scoring each of the goals. France already has their spot in the next round wrapped up, so there could be some changes made to the lineup. After his brother’s injury, Theo Hernandez is the left back, and he’s expected to play in this game. Mbappé has also made it very clear that he wants to play in this game.

Tunisia sits tied for third place, having picked up one point. In the first game of the World Cup, they played to a 0-0 draw against Denmark and in the last game against Australia, they were defeated 1-0. The good news for Tunisia is they look to be fully healthy heading into this game, and they are going to need all hands on deck to win this game. Wajdi Kechrida or Ferjani Sassi are expected to move into the starting lineup in this game, and either guy is going to need to have a strong game. Tunisia requires the defense to be good, but they are also going to need to push the numbers forward.

France is expected to not have as many starters out there for this game, and that means not as many scoring chances for them. I still don’t trust this Tunisia offense, and I don’t think they are going to find the back of the net more than once. This game is going to be lower scoring, and the under is going to cash here.
