Villarreal hasn’t scored a lot of goals, only 6, but they have conceded only 3 goals, and that is what is keeping them alive at the moment. In the Champions League against Manchester United earlier this week, Villarreal was solid with 44% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and 85% of the correct passes. Villarreal took the lead in the 53^rd minute, but they had it for only 7 minutes. In the last minute of the game, Villarreal has conceded another goal, and they ended up losing this game 2-1. Villarreal is also one of the teams who had a ton of injuries, and that has impacted their game, but that list is getting smaller, and it will be gone after the international break is over.

Betis is having a terrific start to the season, and they are now in 9^th place with 3 wins, 3 draws, and only 1 loss. Offensively, Betis has done well with 11 scored goals so far, while their defense has been decent, but it could be better.  In their Europa League game against Ferencvarosi on the road, Betis was the better team with 60% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, 3 big chances created, and 88% of the correct passes. Even though they were playing on the road, Betis was the better team, they were calm and dominant, and they have deservedly won this game 1-3. In LaLiga, Jose is Betis’ leading goalscorer with 4 goals, while Junami added 3 goals. Fekir has added 2 assists. Sabaly, Ruiz, and Canales are all injured. As many teams are barely waiting for the international break, Betis is one of the teams who would rather keep playing in LaLiga right now because they are in great form, but hopefully, the international break won’t hurt them too much.

Betis is undefeated on the road this season, and they haven’t lost any of their last 5 games on the road overall. Betis might be in better form, but they are facing a team with a lot of quality who is yet to find their form. I’m taking goals in this one.
