West Ham vs. Burnley 4/17/22 EPL Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

West Ham is hosting Burnley at London Stadium in round 33 of the English Premier League. West Ham was successful in the Europa League earlier this week, but now they need to take that to the EPL. Burnley has fired their coach just a few days ago, and that was something no one expected, so we will see how they will react to that.

West Ham hasn’t been doing that well in the EPL lately, but as I’ve mentioned, they were fantastic in the Europa League earlier this week against Lyon. After the first leg has ended in a 1-1 draw, West Ham has shown Lyon who is the boss in the second leg. West Ham has won that game 0-3. In the EPL, West Ham is still pretty close to the Champions League spot, in 6^th place with 51 points, but I also think they are good enough to win the Europa League this season. Offensively, West Ham is solid this season with 51 scored goals, but they haven’t been scoring a lot lately. Defensively, West Ham has to do better. There are no notable injuries in West Ham right now. Bowen is the leading goalscorer for West Ham with 9 goals. Overall, I would say this is a very successful season for West Ham, and I think they can be happy with what they have accomplished.

Burnley is the closest team in the relegation zone to the safety, and who knows, maybe this coaching change will help them accomplish that. Burnley is not scoring a lot of goals, only 25 so far this season and nothing will change that this season, but they need to improve their defense, and that might be enough for them to get out of the relegation zone, but I wouldn’t count on it. Of the 25 goals Burnley has scored, Cornet has 7 to his name and he is their leading goalscorer. In addition to Burnley needing to win most of their games this season, they need Everton not to win many of theirs, and I would say Everton is the better team here. it will be a tense end of the season for Burnley, but it might be good for them to get relegated and regroup in the Championship.

Burnley has won only 1 game on the road this season so far, and I think it will stay that way. I think this is a good spot for West Ham to bounce back, and despite playing in the Europa League earlier this week, I think they will get it on in this game.
