The Little Rock Trojans and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns meet in college basketball action from the Cajundome on Saturday night.

The Little Rock Trojans come into this one looking to bounce back from an 80-72 loss to Louisiana-Monroe last time out. Isaiah Palermo leads the Trojans in scoring with 12.9 PPG with 4.8 RPG while Nikola Maric has 15.3 PPG with 6.3 RPG and 2.7 APG in 9 games this season. DeAntoni Gordon has 10.4 PPG while has 11.4 PPG as well ths season. Kevin Osawe has 6.8 PPG with 4.7 RPG. As a team, Little Rock is averaging 70.9 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field, 30.8% from three and 73.1% from the foul line while allowing 72.6 PPG on 46.5% shooting from the field and 37.1% from three this season.

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will try to build on their current three-game winning streak after an 83-77 OT win over Louisiana last time out. Jordan Brown leads the Cajuns in scoring with 14.2 PPG and 8.8 RPG while Theo Akwuba has 10.4 PPG and 8.8 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for the Cajuns so far this season. Kobe Julien has 9.9 PPG while Greg Williams Jr. has 7.7 PPG and a team-high 2.2 APG as well this season. As a team, Louisiana is averaging 71.6 PPG on 41.3% shooting from the field, 34.3% from three and 67.3% from the foul line while allowing 68.3 PPG on 40.4% shooting from the field and 27.3% from three this season.

Little Rock is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Louisiana is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games following a win while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a home favorite.

I get why the Cajuns are favored at home here, but my issue that I take is that I’m not sure they’re this many points better than Little Rock. Sure, the Trojans have struggled as of late, but I think the Trojans are more than capable of keeping this one within single digits. Give me Little Rock and the points here.
