The New York Giants and Chicago Bears meet Sunday in week 2 NFL action at Soldier Field.

The New York Giants look for a bounce back showing after losing their season opener to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The New York Giants have lost five of their last six road games. Daniel Jones is completing 63.4 percent of his passes for 279 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Jones has two or more touchdown passes in four of his last six games. Darius Slayton and Saquon Barkley have combined for 162 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Sterling Shepard has six receptions. The New York Giants ground game is averaging 29 yards per contest, and Jones leads the way with 22 yards on four carries. Defensively, New York is allowing 26 points and 349 yards per game. Blake Martinez leads the New York Giants with 13 tackles, Leonard Williams has one sack and James Bradberry has two pass deflections.

The Chicago Bears look for a quick 2-0 start after beating the Detroit Lions in their season opener. The Chicago Bears have split their last six home games. Mitchell Trubisky is completing 55.6 percent of his passes for 242 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Trubisky has three touchdown passes in three of his last six games. Anthony Miller and Allen Robinson II have combined for 150 receiving yards and one touchdown while Darnell Mooney has three receptions. The Chicago Bears ground game is averaging 149 yards per contest, and David Montgomery leads the way with 64 yards on 13 carries. Defensively, Chicago is allowing 23 points and 426 yards per game. Tashaun Gipson Sr. leads the Chicago Bears with seven tackles, Jaylon Johnson has three pass deflections and Kyle Fuller has one interception.

The Giants are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 road games, 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games in September and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games on grass. The Bears are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 2 and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The over is 7-3 in Giants last 10 games overall. The under is 9-2 in Bears last 11 home games. The Giants are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Chicago.

The New York Giants played hard against the Steelers and had their chances to put serious pressure on them if able to finish a drive offensively. The Chicago Bears should have lost to the Lions in the final seconds but a dropped pass in the end zone allowed them to escape with a victory. The Bears should be favored, but I don’t trust their offense enough to pull away and cover chalk. I’ll take the Giants and the points if forced to pick this game.
