Borna Coric looks to get his second victory here at the Adria Tour as he meets Pedja Krstin in what is going to be a fun display of tennis. Coric has looked solid and he looks to be back on track in order to get a redemption season after suffering many injury issues in 2019. Will Coric continue to play with great form or will Krstin be able to upset him?
Borna Coric has looked very solid in his first two matches here at the Adria Tour, making easy work of Grigor Dimitrov and then losing to world No.1 Novak Djokovic. Coric is one of the best players on the tour when he is in form and he is looking like he is going to get back to that level sooner rather than later. Coric has so much potential and he is still young, only being 23 years old. Coric will want to get to the final here in Zadar, and a victory under his belt here will only help.
Pedja Krstin impressed yesterday, even though he lost both his matches. Krstin played very well in the first set against Novak Djokovic, even breaking the world No.1 at one point. Krstin will look to cause an upset here as he has nothing to lose and can play freely against his opponent. Krstin is not the best player and he definitely does not have the skillset to challenge any of the big players in this tournament if this were an ATP tournament. However, this is an exhibition tournament, therefore he is not as nervous as he would be. Krstin can come out and play freely and if he plays like he did in that first set against Djokovic, it will be a fun encounter to watch.
This will be the first meeting between both players and unfortunately for Pedja Krstin, he will not come out victorious. Borna Coric is playing in his home country and he will want to reach the final tonight. Coric is finding his form again and he will not give anything away easily. Krstin does not have the game to challenge Coric and he will end up losing this quickly.
Borna Coric to win.
