Grigor Dimitrov meets Pedja Krstin in his second match of the second weekend at the 2020 Adria Tour. Dimitrov will want to make this an easy win, but will he be upset again by a lower-ranked player like last weekend?

Grigor Dimitrov was very solid last weekend, although he went 1-2. Dimitrov showed us some amazing rallies and points in his matches, the only thing he lacked was consistency. Dimitrov is not able to maintain a high level of tennis it seems for a consistent time in a match. This allows his opponents to take advantage of the match sometimes and cause an upset. Dimitrov can beat anyone and everyone on his day and he will need to play his best tennis here as he will have some tough matches. Dimitrov is one of the best players in the game, but if he found better consistency, he would be amongst the top 5 best players in my opinion.

Pedja Krstin is just very lucky to be here in my opinion. Krstin is a challenger level player who is being given the opportunity to compete with the best players in the world. Pedja Krstin will play his best that if for sure as he has nothing to lose. This can sometimes allow for some upsets to happen and that could happen against a player like Dimitrov. Krstin however will just be looking to have fun and spend some quality time with some of the best players in the world.

This is going to be the first meeting between both players, and unfortunately for Pedja Krstin, this should be a straight forward Grigor Dimitrov victory. Grigor Dimitrov is the better player and he has so much more experience. Although Pedja Krstin has no pressure and can play freely which might allow him to play at a higher level than usual, he is just not on the same level as Dimitrov. Dimitrov is one of the best players in the game, and I would be shocked if another extremely lower ranked player is able to upset Dimitrov two weekends in a row.
